Mr Mthembu, student at University of Zululand, serves as the SASUF Student Network Chair person. He manages and coordinate the work with students in Sweden and South Africa, and serves as the main contact person for student representatives at 40 different Swedish and South African universities.

He is a former UniZulu faculty of Science chairperson, UniZulu SRC administration task team member, and he holds a Honors Degree in Consumer Sciences, and is currently doing his Masters in Development studies.
