Mr. Fenghe QIAO arrived in South Africa on January 17, 2020 and currently serves as First Secretary (Education) at the Embassy of P. R. China in the Republic of South Africa.
Mr. QIAO was born in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, P.R. China in 1964. He became a teacher at Northeast Forestry University in Heilongjiang Province upon obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree there in 1989.
From 2003 to 2007, Mr. QIAO was posted at the Chinese Consulate General in New York and served as First Secretary (Education), specifically responsible for promoting bilateral educational cooperation and exchanges between China and the New York Consulate Area.
From 2007 to 2009, Mr. QIAO served as Dean of the College of Foreign Languages at the Northeast Forestry University.
From 2009 to 2014, Mr. QIAO served as First Secretary (Education) at the Embassy of P.R. China in the UK, responsible for promoting bilateral educational cooperation and exchanges between China and the UK.
From 2014 to 2019, Mr. QIAO served as Dean of the School of International Education and Exchanges at the Northeast Forestry University.
